Maureen & Joe, owners of Brook Farm Inn, a historic 1865 Victorian Bed & Breakfast in Lenox, Massachusetts were looking to upgrade their existing heating and air conditioning systems in guest rooms, as well as, common areas in the unforgettable Berkshires getaway. The goals of this retrofit project were to improve guest comfort while gaining efficiency, as well as, lowering their carbon footprint. After a successful heating/cooling season since the installation, the goals were met and exceeded.

The Challenge: To do a complete upgrade/modernization of the HVAC system, of the charming, historic Brook Farm Inn, a Victorian mansion in the heart of the Berkshires.without negatively impacting its charming ambience.
The Solution: By installing individual units in each guest room and the common areas on the First Floor, it gave the visitors complete control over temperatures in their rooms.
The Benefits: Each room has complete control over the temperatures so no uneven balancing to deal with, getting rid of the carbon footprint, and helping the owners secure commercial heat pump rebates.
Cost/Benefit Analysis: By leveraging the rebates available, the best solution to their problems turned out to be the least expensive installed net cost.
